3D Robotics gave a sneak preview of a comparatively cheap consumer drone at an remote-controlled aircraft convention in San Francisco this week.
The company's late quadcopter, or tetrad-rotor helicopter, can be pressurized from a tablet running an Humanoid flight system operating theatre other similar app. The as-yet-unnamed pilotless aircraft will cost nigh $700 and is aimed at an interview of hobbyists, even wedding party photographers, who could attach a camera to the straw man and have sweeping shots from the sky.
"I think the bigger market is people who just want to do lug, stock people like you or I," said Brandon Bass voice, a research and development engineer at 3D Robotics.
Some people helpful the conference were there to learn how to follow through drones for search and rescue.
"I'm not expression that a soul can be replaced in the cockpit yet, but you can fly some of these (drone) missions at about a tenth of the cost, and you can fell them in weather where a human airplane pilot wouldn't be out," said Colin Loring, a volunteer hunt and rescue pilot from Greenville, South Carolina. Helium intends to buy a drone for his chemical group within a few months.
Larger commercial-sized drones were displayed only non flown at the formula. Drone maker MLB brought its V-Bat UAV vertical choose-forth and landing place drone, too as the Super Thrash, which is ready-made of Kevlar and has cameras with target tracking and 20X zoom lenses. Prices for those drones bulge out roughly $120,000.
